Caroline Evans (1833), daughter of John Evans (c1796) and Susannah Preece (c1802), was baptised 16 Feb 1833 in Bridstow, Herefordshire. She married William Powell (c1836) in late 1856 in Ross District, Herefordshire. William was a Shoemaker and Bootmaker and was born in Llangarron Herefordshire in about 1836 according to census records.
Caroline and William had five known children. Their first child, a son George, was christened in 1858 in Llangarron Herefordshire, although he was born in Marstow Herefordshire according to census records. The family had moved to the Whitchurch area of Herefordshire by 1861, and their daughter Laura was baptised there in 1864. Later children were baptised at Coppett Hill near Goodrich.

George Powell was baptised 26 Dec 1858 in Llangarron Herefordshire, although he was born in Marstow Herefordshire according to census records. He was living with his family in 1861 and 1871 for the census, however no more is known of George at this time.
Emily Powell c1862
Emily Powell was born c1862 in Hentland, Herefordshire according to census records. In 1881 she was working for a Commercial Clerk and his family in Westbury on Trym, Gloucestershire. Emily was working as a Domestic Nurse, probably as a carer for her employer's one-year-old twins. Nothing more is known of Emily at this time.
Laura Powell was baptised on 28 Feb 1864 in Whitchurch, Hereford, England. In 1881 she was working as a Domestic Servant for a Mission Church man and his family in Horseley Rd, Tipton Staffordshire. In 1891 she is again living at home in Whitchurch with her mother, father and their six-year-old granddaughter Mary Gertrude Powell. Laura probably married Oliver James Jarrett in Monmouth District in 1892, and in 1901 was living on Symond's Yat Road (Doward, Whitchurch) with her husband and four children. Caroline Annie Powell was baptised on 24 Dec 1865 in Goodrich, Herefordshire. The family's residence at the time was given as Coppett Hill, very near Goodrich. It's possible that in 1881 she is working as a servant (Nurse) at Old Court Farm, Whitchurch Herefordshire. Caroline probably married William Henry Gardiner in 1889 in the Newport Monmouth District. Mary Lavinia Powell 1865
Mary Lavinia Powell was baptised on 26 Apr 1868 in Goodrich, Herefordshire, near where her family were living at the time in Coppett Hill. In 1891 she was working as a servant in Newland Gloucestershire. It's possible that Mary married Alfred Edgar Powell in the Monmouth District in 1894. Nothing more is known about Mary at this time.
