Evans in Herefordshire

Ada was born c1865 in Marstow, Pencraig or Goodrich Herefordshire, according to census records. She was living with her family in 1871 and 1881, married George Powell in late 1889, and was listed as a visitor in the home of her widowed mother in 1891 under her married name, along with a five-month-old daughter, Laura. Ada and George had a further two known children and were living in Northfield Worcestershire in 1901.

Edwin Partridge was baptised in Goodrich Herefordshire on 14 Apr 1867. His family's residence at that time was given as Coppett Hill (near Goodrich). It's believed he married Margaret(ta) Alice Lewis (1869) in 1897 in Ross District, Herefordshire and had at least two daughters before 1901. In 1901 Edwin was working as a Waggoner on a farm and was living in Llangrove, Llangarron Herefordshire.

Sarah Ann Partridge was baptised on 19 Sep 1869 in Whitchurch, Herefordshire. Sarah married Thomas Sykes (c1865) in Monmouth District in late 1890. In 1891 she is visiting with her mother in Llangrove; in 1901 Sarah and Thomas are living at Little St Dials Farm, Cwmbran Monmouthshire. All five of their children in 1901 are listed as having been born in Llangrove Herefordshire, including the youngest daughter Mabel who was nine months old at the time. This family went on to have twelve known children in all; five born in Llangrove and seven in Llantarnam, Cwmbran.

Edith Laura Partridge was born in 1872 in Marstow, Herefordshire according to census records. She was living at home in 1881 and was working as a General Servant in Littleworth Gloucester in 1891. Laura married William Poston (c1874) in Ross District in 1899 and in 1901 the couple is living at Pool Mill Cottage in Bridstow Herefordshire with their nine-month-old son, William.

Emily Partridge was born c1875 in Llangarron, Herefordshire, according to census records. In 1891 she was working as a General Domestic Servant in South Hamlet Gloucester, and in 1901 in Alexandra Road, Gloucester, along with her younger sister Clara. Nothing more is known of Emily at this time.

Alfred Partridge was born about 1877 in Llangarron Herefordshire according to census records. In 1901 he was probably a boarder with the Summy family in Llangarron; his occupation is given as Engine Driver. Nothing more is known of Alfred at this time.

Clara Partridge was born in 1879 in Llangarron Herefordshire according to census records. She was living at home for the 1881 and 1891 censuses, and in 1901 is working as a Domestic Servant in Alexandra Road, Gloucester with her elder sister Emily. Clara married Hubert William Boulton (1880) in Gloucester District in 1901. Nothing more is known of Clara at this time.

Cornelius Partridge was born about 1882 in Llangarron Herefordshire according to census records. He is living at home in 1891 and in 1901 is working as a Servant for the Jones family in Welsh Newton Herefordshire. Nothing more is known of Cornelius at this time, although it's believed his first name was a family name of the Partridges.

William Partridge was born in Llangarron Herefordshire according to census records. In 1901 he is living at home with his family and working as a Farm Labourer. Nothing more is known of William at this time.
